How long does it take and do I need to leave my vehicle?

Drop-off is preferred. Most vehicles can be diagnosed within a day. No-start issues and random or intermittent problems can sometimes take longer to diagnose. Testing time cannot be predicted precisely, so waiting appointments are difficult to schedule. Same day diagnosis and repair happens but is not promised before the vehicle has been examined.

Advanced Testing and Evaluation is $159 and uses computers, scanners and specialized tools, which covers most check engine light, warning light, electrical and drivability concerns. Both include a digital inspection with photos. Repairs are quoted separately and require approval.

Q: Will one visit fix everything?

Not always. Testing can be a process, and sometimes one fault must be corrected before the next becomes visible, particularly on vehicles with several stored codes or an intermittent problem. The shop explains what is known, what is not yet known, and the cost of the next step before the customer decides.

A trouble code tells us where to start looking. It does not tell us what is wrong. We test the actual system, send you photos of what we find, and tell you what it will take to fix.

Sometimes we diagnose and repair the same day, but we will not promise that before we have looked at it.
